The Turnip Truck, a locally-owned grocery chain with locations in East Nashville and the Gulch, is expanding to Nashville's west side next year. The grocer confirmed the news earlier this week on Facebook.
Public records show the store will open at 5001 Charlotte Ave. in Sylvan Park. The space is currently home to Cash and Carry, a food and party supplies retail store.
What to know
The Turnip Truck was founded in 2001 by John Dyke, a native of Greeneville, Tennessee. The store's two other locations are in East Nashville and the Gulch.
In an interview with Fox 17 Nashville, Dyke said the new location, which clocks in at 15,000 square feet, will be larger and feature hot and cold food bars, a bakery, health and beauty products, a juice bar, a meat department and more.
