The owners of East Nashville's Slow Hand Coffee + Bakeshop opened the much-buzzed-about Pelican & Pig, a full-service restaurant centered around its wood-burning hearth.
Pelican & Pig officially opened its doors Thursday at 1010 Gallatin Ave. It's located in the same building as husband-and-wife duo Nick & Audra Guidry's bakery.
What's on the menu?
The menu highlights seasonal offerings in categories like snacks, shareables and mains dishes. You'll find roasted and grilled meats and vegetables aplenty, whether it be brussels, beets and cauliflower on the shareables menu, or lamb shank, braised rabbit and short rib as the main entree.
Pelican & Pig will be open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m., but diners can arrive early for happy hour between 4 and 5 p.m. Reservations can be made on its website
