Americano Coffee Lounge

More coffee is coming to the Wedgewood-Houston area, this time by the name of Americano Coffee Lounge. The lounge, located at 434 Houston St, is just down the street from newly opened establishments Falcon Coffee Bar and Diskin Cider.

Americano Coffee Lounge will open to the public Thursday, August 30. From the coffee to its decor, the ownership says to expect "a 1940s twist on your coffee experience."

What's on the menu

You'll find classic coffee drinks like lattes, espressos, cappuccinos and brewed coffee, as well as it's namesake, Americanos. It's food menu, while light, features pastries, charcuteries, sandwiches and desserts.

What they said

"There are a few reasons why the word “lounge” appears in our name. One motivator was a deliberate desire to separate the Americano Coffee Lounge from coffee shops and cafes: the type of places that patrons tend to frequent between the hours of 6 a.m.-4 p.m. ... We envision our place as one that people will want to visit at all times of day or night, enjoying our small but memorable corner of an undeniably up-and-coming neighborhood."
