Potholes

As we approach pothole season in Nashville, you may have flashbacks to when the mini craters wreaked havoc on city streets and interstates last spring, perhaps most notably on I-440. Well, there's good news and bad news. First, the good: You'll notice newly patched potholes on I-440 in both directions this weekend.

Ready for the bad news? Potholes are here to stay through the spring, so prepare for many more dips in your daily commute. Fluctuating temperatures and wear and tear caused by the constant pounding of traffic are prime suspects.

If you keep hitting the same pothole on a Tennessee interstate, reach out to TDOT.Comments@tn.gov with the exact location, including the route, mile marker and any nearby cross streets or interchanges. Spot a pothole on a roadway, alley, intersection or bike lane? Report it on hubNashville.

See the map below to find closures that might affect your daily commute.
