Amazon Rendering

Learn more about Amazon's Operations Center of Excellence in Nashville when the company hosts "Amazon: Live at the Ryman" next week. The event, set for 6 p.m. Feb. 6, will be your chance to learn more about Amazon's new hub, hear from operations leaders and meet recruiting teams.

As reported in November, the company’s eastern hub for its retail operations division will be located in two towers in the Nashville Yards development. The space is expected to create 5,000 jobs with an average wage of more than $150,000.

Additionally, Amazon plans to invest $230 million at the new operation site featuring one million square feet of energy-efficient office space.

The company's decision to create 5,000 additional jobs in Nashville makes this the largest jobs announcement since the launch of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Partnership 2020 economic development initiative in 1990.

The company currently employs about 2,500 people at its four Nashville-area distribution centers.
