According to a new report that identifies the best private high schools in Middle Tennessee, three Green Hills and Belle Meade schools — Montgomery Bell Academy (No. 2) Harpeth Hall School (No. 3) and Ensworth School (No. 4)— are among the top five.
The "2019 Best Private High Schools in Middle Tennessee" list by ranking and review site Niche includes 30 schools overall. The site used factors like percentages of seniors who go to four-year colleges, composite ACT/SAT scores and survey responses from students and parents for the overall ranking.
The findings, first reported by the Nashville Business Journal, list three other local schools, including St. Cecilia Academy (No. 7), Christ Presbyterian Academy (No. 8) and Lipscomb Academy (No. 14).
Ensworth School's high school campus, which is ranked No. 4, is located in the Bellevue area, however, the original campus with grades kindergarten through eighth is located near Green Hills and Belle Meade.
