The Tennessee Department of Education released TNReady results for individual schools across the state, including public elementary, middle and high schools in the Green Hills and Belle Meade areas.

The data below reflects how students performed on state assessments during the 2017 and 2018 school years for grades 3-12.

Due to testing complications this year, Metro did not include TNReady scores on either high school or grades 3-8 report cards.

Understanding the data

TNReady scores are divided into four categories, including below grade-level expectations, approaching, on track and mastered. An on-track student is proficient in the subject, while a mastered student has "extensive understanding" of the content.

The charts show local students who are proficient or higher in subjects like English/language arts, math, science and U.S. history.

Elementary and middle students improved in English/language arts, while high school students declined in every subject.
